Identity over time
A venue can rename a symbol, or DEBYKO can correct which asset a listing represents. Historical queries use the mapping valid at the requested instant. A listing with no resolved market at that time is not joined to listings on other venues by a similar-looking symbol.
Each mapping has a validity interval. In /v2/screen with as_of, /v2/instruments?as_of=, and /v2/snapshots/history, the instrument, base, quote and multiplier come from the interval valid at that time. In a history answer with several instants, read these fields on each row: the listing header describes its latest matching identity in the requested window.
identity_basis: recorded means the mapping interval was written after identity history began. reconstructed means the migration knew the listing’s first observed time and its then-current mapping, but did not know when any earlier change happened. Do not treat a reconstructed mapping as proof that it held unchanged for the entire interval. identity_corrected_at, when present, is when a later mapping interval began.
